"Chuck E Cheese Night"

Tonight is "Chuck E Cheese Night" at Hillside Catholic Academy. At "Chucky Cheese" Restaurant on Route #22 in Union, New Jersey Hillside Catholic Academy will conduct a fund raising event. A part of the money spend by Hillside Catholic Academy will go back to our school. This is a program from our Home and School Association.

"Boy Scouts"

Tonight parents of Hillside Catholic Academy boys from grades K-4 will learn about creating a Cub Scout Pack. The hour long presentation will discuss all that is involved. This new venture is all part of the, "quality education," at Hillside Catholic Academy.

"Millennium Club"

Parent participation is an important part of Hillside Catholic Academy. There are each parent is expected to sell $500 via our fund raising program. Some of your parents exceed their goal. These become members of our "Millennium Club." The members of the "Millenium Club" are those parents who have sold $1,000. These parents were introduced at the last Home and School Assoication Meeting of the year.

"St. Jude Math-a-thon"

Hillside Catholic Academy has made a $1600 contribution to St. Jude's Hospital. This was money raised via our Math-a-thon. The students took contributions to do Math problems. This is part of the Social Gospel that is the, "faith based environment," at Hillside Catholic Academy.

"Mother's Day Breakfast"

On Saturday May 10 the Hillside Catholic Academy Home and School Association conducted, "The Second Annual Hillside Catholic Academy Mother's Day Breakfast." The proceeds of this event went to off set the costs of the Grade 8 class trip. It was a wonderful day attended by over 70 people. This spirit of community building is all part of the, "quality education," at Hillside Catholic Academy.

"Walk-a-thon"

This morning Hillside Catholic Academy will conduct, "The Fourth Annual Hillside Catholic Academy Walk-a-thon." The proceeds from this event will go to defray the expense of refurbishing the gym floor.

"Spring Concert"

This evening Hillside Catholic Academy will conduct, "The Fourth Annual Hillside Catholic Academy Spring Concert. " This is under the direction of Mrs. Lisa Pena. Mrs. Pena comes to us from Future Musicians Inc. Our dedication to the arts is part of the, "quality education," at Hillside Catholic Academy.

"Science Fair"

On Friday May 2 Hillside Catholic Academy conducted, "The Fourth Annual Hillside Catholic Academy Science Fair." Students in Grades 6,7,and 8 created inventions. The students provided creative and interesting products. This activity is another example of the, "quality education," at Hillside Catholic Academy.

"National Day of Prayer"

Thursday November 1 is the 'National Day of Prayer'. Hillside Catholic Academy students in Grades 7 and 8 attended a Holy Hour and prayed before the Blessed Sacrament. Taking time from the school day to pray is another example of the, "faith based environment," at Hillside Catholic Academy.
