"Back to School"

Hillside Catholic Academy returned to school after our Easter Break. We have many activities planned. They include our Art Show, Science Fair, and The Fourth Annual Commencement Ceremony.

"N.C.E.A. Convention"

Although Hillside Catholic Academy was closed this week, Mr. Michael Butchko was hard at work. He attended the 105th Annual National Catholic Educators Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. While he was there he attended 9 workshops. He also viewed the vendors exhibits. Mr. Butchko's professional development is all part of the, "quality education," at Hillside Catholic Academy

"Stations of the Cross"

Today our Grade 8 students will put on a presentation of, "The Stations of the Cross." The Passion of our Lord Jesus Christ will come alive for the rest of our students. This is third annual presentation of this important story. This is all part of the, "faith based environment," at Hillside Catholic Academy.

"Future Musicians"

Hillside Catholic Academy conducts it's Music Program with the help of Future Musicians Inc. Students receive one class of vocal music per week. There is also a school choir. Student may receive instrumental music lesson one day per week for a small fee. Hillside Catholic Academy also conducts a Christmas and a Sping Concert.Dedication to the Arts is part of the, "quality education," at Hillside Catholic Academy.

"Math Magic"

Today the students at Hillside Catholic Academy will attend a unique assembly program. "Math Magic", is a presentation that shows the magic of math. Experiments, illusions, and magic tricks involving math will delight and inform the students. Assembly programs like these are all part of the, "quality education," at Hillside Catholic Academy

"Get Ready for High School"

Last week students in Grade 8 at Hillside Catholic Academy listened to guest speakers on how to suceed in high school. The students heard talks on academics, extra curriculars. The week concluded with those students attending Catholic high schools having breakfast with their new principals. This type of program is unique to Hillside Catholic Academy. It is all part of the, "quality education," at Hillside Catholic Academy

"Testing Week"

This week is starndarized testing week at Hillside Catholic Academy. Student in Pre-K will take a Kindergarten Readiness Test. Students in Kindergarten will take a Schoo Readiness Test. Students in Grades 1,2,3,4,5,6,7 will take the Terra Nova Tests. Standarized testing is all part of the, "quality eduction," at Hillside Catholic Academy
